Student Programs

Enrichment

Check back for Winter/Spring 2021 Sessions.

Enrichment classes are PTA sponsered educational classes that meet after school. They range from robotics and coding, to sewing and music, drama and physical education, and more. They are an exciting way for kids to learn new skills. Enrichment classes are offered 3 times a year.

Due to Covid we will not be offering fall classes this year. We are looking at offering classes during our winter term.

Math Olympiad

Check back later for more information.

Math Olympiad is an exciting math program offered to upper level elementary classes. Students meet together, with a teacher, to study and learn math skills. At the end of the term they compete in an exciting math district wide competetion. For many of our students it is a highlight of the year.

We are waiting to hear if Brookside will offer Math Olympiad this year. We will update the website when we have more information.

Multicultural Night

Check back for more information.

The Multicultural Night is a night to travel around the world. The evening is filled with food, entertainment, and culture. Brookside families have the opportunity to share about their families history and cultural background through a variety of media. Stroll through the gym and taste the yummy treats. Sit and listen to the entertainment from all over the world. Learn interesting facts as you fill up your passport.

Musical

Check back later for more information.

Does your child love to sing and dance? Do they love to act? Every year the PTA sponsors the production of a musical. Strudents in 3rd through 5th grade are welcome to participate. Students may try out for a part in the play or help out backstage with running the production.

The PTA also offers drama classes for K through 2nd grade. These are fun classes filled with drama games and music. And the students get to perform an opening number at the beginning of the musical to show case all the skills they learned.

The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition with the purpose to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. This year's theme is “I matter because...”.

Young artists get involved through their local PTA or PTSA. A student may submit an entry in any of six arts areas- music composition, literature, photography, visual arts, film/video, and choreography/dance. Only original works of art are accepted.

Learn more on the Reflections page.
