SCIENCE PROGRAMS
Brookside's Science Fair is a big event every year in May. Generally, students in 4th-6th grades participate by doing a science project and producing a display for Science Fair. This work is graded by their teachers, but most of the work is done at home. Brookside PTA supports this effort by providing cardboard display boards at no charge to students. In addition to the hundreds of amazing science projects on display that night, we also hold our "Eggciting Egg Drop" contest, which is a family favorite! |

HELP OUR KIDS REVIVE THE NATURAL SCIENTIST INSIDE THEM!!
Did you realize that every one of us begins life as a scientist? From the earliest experiences with the world around them, babies are observing their world through tasting, touching, smelling -- throwing that cup off their high chair just to see what happens! Observation and learning cause and effect are a big part of science. Somewhere along the way as kids grow up, some begin to think that science is something hard or scary. We are working to change that by fostering kids' natural interest and enjoyment of science, by giving them opportunities for hands-on exploration and learning.
Science and technology are so important to today's world and to the future, support your child's participation in Science Fair.
