Welcome to Brookside
Elementary!
We are pleased to have you join our school community.
The PTA has put together a family brochure for parents
who are new to our school. It provides pertinent information
from a "newbie" perspective. It can be found here.
Membership: We encourage you to join Brookside’s
award-winning PTA, which has enjoyed 100% membership the
last three years. This level of parent involvement allows
our PTA to provide so much for the students, teachers, and
families at our school! For a small cost, the benefits are
great. Watch for PTA membership forms to come home with
your child in “kid mail” during the first week
of school.
Volunteerism: Our volunteers are what
make Brookside PTA great!! Please consider signing up to
volunteer for one of our many projects and events. See the
“What’s Your Passion?” sheet for ideas
and opportunities, from short one-time events taking a few
hours of your time, or on-going projects that last all year….any
time you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Fundraising: Brookside PTA does have several
fundraisers throughout the year, starting on the first day
of school with our direct donation campaign, “Pass
the Hat”. Your participation in any of the fundraisers
is completely voluntary. We offer a variety of fundraisers
in order to allow everyone to participate at some level;
you may choose to participate in all the fundraisers, or
pick and choose what feels right for your family. Of course,
the greater the success of our fundraisers, the more PTA
can enrich our school’s learning environment for all
students.
