PTA makes many after school activities available to Brookside students.

There will be at least two sessions of after school classes offered free of charge to PTA members. These classes are a benefit of PTA membership, so remember to send in your membership dues right away!

These fun, free after school classes are offered in the fall and in the spring. Each session is 4 weeks long, on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.

PTA also sponsors a number of paid after school classes, including: Foreign Language, Art, and Chess Club. These classes are provided by private companies and charge a fee. Some scholarships are available, contact PTA. Foreign Language (Spanish & Japanese) will be provided this year by Foreign Language for Youth (FLY), and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:35-4:15 pm.

Attendance for all after school classes is by pre-registration only -- watch for forms to come home in “kid mail”/boomerang in September. There is no bus transportation provided; parents are responsible to promptly pick up their children at the end of class.

Please remember, students attending after school classes are expected to follow school rules and meet the behavior expectations of Brookside.

Our first series of free afterschool classes will be held in October. The next session will be held in March. Watch for information to come home with your students!
